The season-ending divisional race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has always drawn a huge turnout of race cars from all parts of the country, and this year’s edition was no exception. Over 850 entries for every geographic division attended the event, many looking to improve on their divisional or national event standing. Sunday morning rains delayed the start of Sunday’s show until about noon, and after the first round of the alcohol class, the rain came back, delaying the remainder of the show until Monday.

The third annual NHRA JEGS Pacific SPORTSnationals presented by K&N at Auto Club Dragway took place in Fontana, California.
Mike Ferderer drove the K&N Filters -Pennzoil 2004 Pontiac Grand Am to victory after six rounds of eliminations and beat opponent Chris Lindsay in the final round in Super Comp. "This K&N Filters car has been deadly all year," said Ferderer. "It ran close to perfect all day because of my K&N hood scoop and air filter. Even though it was warm when we started, then cool, then warm again, I had some of my best speeds with K&N

Lindsey Wood is in Third Place in NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 2 Points

NHRA Sportsman racer Lindsey Wood drove her K&N Filters/CSR Performance Products backed dragster at Atlanta Dragway for a final round appearance in Super Comp. The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event took place the first weekend in October 2008.
NHRA Sportsman Class racer Lindsey Wood, a 24-year-old driver from McAlpin, Florida fell to two-time World Champion Gary Stinnett, also a K&N sponsored racer. Wood lost to Stinnett by a mere .003 seconds in a tight round final.
Before the final, Wood knocked off a formidable crowd of Super Comp competitors, including former national champion and 2008 title contender Steve Cohen, multi-national event winner Mickey Whaley and Jeremy Hancock to reach her second Lucas Oil Series final round of the season.

Brothers Brian and Nick Folk shared the Knoll Gas Motorsports IHRA Nitro Jam Winner's Circle in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This was their second consecutive IHRA National Even win.
Nick Folk earned top qualifier honors in his Wegner Performance Engines LT1 Camaro. At the pole, Folk earned an opening round run and advanced to the final round against Will Carrell. Folk took a huge starting line advantage and took the win light.
